Brian Morrison, MD
Dr. Brian Morrison is a Board Certified Dermatologist with broad areas of interest including medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology and cutaneous surgery. He is also an author of a number of peer-reviewed publications encompassing basic science research and clinical cases in dermatology.
He was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He received his undergraduate degree in Microbiology and Cell Science at the University of Florida. After college, he moved to New York to pursue a Master’s degree in Nutrition at Columbia University and stayed there for his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine. He returned home to Miami, where he completed his medical education as a resident at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery.
Dr. Morrison divides his time between our practice and academic medicine at the University of Miami and the Miami VA Hospital. At these locations, Dr. Morrison treats patients with a number of complex dermatologic conditions and performs surgery for skin cancer. He is also strongly dedicated to the education of University of Miami residents and medical students. Recent graduates have recognized his commitment to their education by presenting him with an “Outstanding Dedication to Resident Teaching” award. In conjunction with Dr. Baumann, he also teaches cosmetic dermatology to the residents and supervises them with model patients at BCRI.
Lastly, Dr. Morrison is the founder of The Skin Clinic Haiti, a charitable outreach in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. By establishing partnerships with local physicians and hospitals in Haiti, he has improved access to patient care, educated local residents and practicing physicians and raised funds to cover the cost of medical care for disadvantaged patients. He has volunteered his time in Haiti about 4 times a year for the past 4 years.
